American Agra Curtains was founded in 1983 by Bill and Carolyn Henderson. Bill, a builder who specialized in livestock barns, had a need for custom insulated and non-insulated curtains for the facilities he built. He partnered with his wife, who began creating those curtains and even patenting her process. The curtains became so popular that the couple began selling them to other builders and farmers who were looking for more protection for their animals and for ways to save on heating costs. Today, the company sells curtains and other related products throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
With the passing of Carolyn in 2018 and Bill’s retirement, it was time for the next generation of Hendersons to take the helm. Brian Henderson, son of Bill and Carolyn, and Brian’s wife, Jerri, took the reins of the company in 2019, with Jerri heading up the day-to-day operations as president and Brian filling the role of vice-president. The couple is dedicated to carrying on Bill and Carolyn’s tradition of top-notch quality and customer service that is second to none.
